This document aims to raise awareness among the general population about the discrimination faced by older people , contribute to the improvement and promotion of social and equality policies, and foster the empowerment of older men and women so that they know and claim their rights.

This publication addresses the various dimensions of violence and discrimination against older people . It also explores the relationship between ageism and gender discrimination, as well as other social inequalities, and offers proposals to promote respectful treatment and eliminate discrimination, abuse, and mistreatment of older adults.
