Más allá de la vivienda. Salud mental y sinhogarismo
This report aims to shed some light on the mental health reality affecting people experiencing homelessness and residential exclusion.
The report identifies the main elements that define mental health in the context of homelessness and highlights some of the lines that future research in this area should explore:
- the intersectionality of mental health with homelessness among certain groups, such as women, migrants or young people;
- the effects of the dynamism and impact of transitions between different residential situations on people's mental health;
- the preventive and therapeutic role of social networks and social support in relation to mental health in general and homelessness in particular;
- the relationship between resilience and spirituality as a protective factor for mental health, etc.
In addition, he makes a series of reflections on the future and proposals for action.
