The report identifies the main elements that define mental health in the context of homelessness and highlights some of the lines that future research in this area should explore:

• the intersectionality of mental health with homelessness among certain groups, such as women, migrants or young people;
• the effects of the dynamism and impact of transitions between different residential situations on people's mental health;
• the preventive and therapeutic role of social networks and social support in relation to mental health in general and homelessness in particular;
• the relationship between resilience and spirituality as a protective factor for mental health, etc.
