Más allá de la vivienda. Salud mental y sinhogarismo

This report, based on the findings of the research project "Social Exclusion and COVID-19: The Impact of the Pandemic on the Health, Well-being, and Living Conditions of Homeless People ," examines various facets of homelessness . It addresses different aspects of this multidimensional reality , where individual life stories ultimately determine the factors that are both determinants, contributing to, or resulting from the situations faced by homeless individuals. Mental health, dependency, personal and family breakdown, lack of income, the weakness of the labor market, origin, age, gender, loneliness and isolation, addictions, and other factors contribute to the complex narratives of life on the streets. These aspects always have a threefold dimension: structural, communal, and individual.

This document aims to highlight the need for programs that shift the focus away from housing, in order to find a home where the different dimensions of the human being have a place.
