Tractem Bé is a campaign by the Germà Tomàs Canet Foundation to raise awareness about elder abuse. It is estimated that in Catalonia there are more than 27,000 elderly people at risk of suffering abuse and that only 10% of those abused report it. Most abuse takes place in the family and intimate sphere and is often not obvious: denying an elderly person their ability to decide, using their money without their knowledge or not giving them the care they need are forms of abuse.
