How to help a child with FASD? A guide for parents

This guide is for parents facing a diagnosis of fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS), providing information about the syndrome itself, how it is detected and diagnosed, common misconceptions, how the syndrome affects children at different ages and stages of life, and its treatment. The document also includes frequently asked questions about daily life to help parents support their children.

It addresses life with a disability and the different implications on education, sexual and affective relationships, working life and the transition to adulthood, as well as key legal concepts related to the legal capacity and autonomy of the person affected with FAS.
