Eating disorder
Why do people with eating disorders experience so many mood swings?
Eating disorders are emotionally based disorders that often cause a person to feel sad, anxious, insecure, with low self-esteem, angry , etc. Furthermore, the disorder itself causes the person to have a fear of gaining weight, leading to distorted thinking about their body image and food. In addition, their mood worsens when food or body-related topics are discussed.
Even so, we must keep in mind that the person may have periods when they appear fine. It's also possible that these mood swings will be less noticeable outside the home, but very evident within the family environment.
