Report violations
Where can I find legal advice to report a rights violation?
Professional bar associations maintain lists of private lawyers . In Spain, the General Council of Spanish Lawyers (Consejo General de la Abogacía Española) provides a census with the data of its members throughout the country. These lists can also be consulted at the bar associations in each region.
In the same Bar Associations and the Legal Guidance Services (SOJ) that depend on it, if a series of requirements are met, you can also request a court-appointed lawyer (free legal aid).
There are also entities and organizations specializing in mental health that offer guidance and legal advice services regarding rights. In Spain, these include, among others:
- Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI) .
- State Observatory of Mental Health, Rights and Equality (Spanish Mental Health Confederation) .
- Observatory of rights of the Federació VEUS - Catalan Federation of mental health entities in the first person.
- Catalunya Mental Health Federation - SMC .
