What steps should I take if I notice that my son or daughter has some developmental difficulties or disorders?
It's important that you discuss these concerns with your pediatrician. From there, if necessary, a referral will be made to a specialist so that the screening and diagnostic tests needed to determine if your child has ASD can be performed.
