What can we do at home to improve eating difficulties?
One of the most common problems in people with ASD is related to eating. It is estimated that between 46% and 89% of children affected by this disorder have problematic eating habits. Some recommendations for addressing this issue with children with ASD are:

- Being seated in a comfortable place and context.
- Reduce distractions.
- Limit meal times.
- Involve the child in the food routine (buying, handling, choosing food...).
- Reward positive behaviors.
- Ignore negative behaviors.
- Introduce foods that the child is not currently eating.
- Present new foods in an attractive way and in small quantities.
