What can I do to prevent depression?

There are a number of preventative recommendations   which should be taken into account to promote personal well-being:

  • Expressing feelings
  • Lean on family and friends
  • Exercise regularly
  • Establish daily routines and set goals
  • Healthy diet
  • Avoid alcohol and drugs
  • Practice activities that make us feel better
  • Positive thinking and developing self-esteem
  • Learn to relax
  • Do not resort to self-medication
  • If necessary, seek help from healthcare professionals.
