What can I do to prevent depression?
There are a number of preventative recommendations which should be taken into account to promote personal well-being:
- Expressing feelings
- Lean on family and friends
- Exercise regularly
- Establish daily routines and set goals
- Healthy diet
- Avoid alcohol and drugs
- Practice activities that make us feel better
- Positive thinking and developing self-esteem
- Learn to relax
- Do not resort to self-medication
- If necessary, seek help from healthcare professionals.
