It is important to strengthen factors that can protect against suicidal thoughts, such as:
- Reduce pain or increase coping skills:
- Increase conflict resolution skills.
- Get involved in mental health treatment, especially for alcohol and drug abuse.
- Increase hope:
- To have religious beliefs and practices .
- Trust in the recovery from illnesses.
- Improve bonding and the sense of belonging:
