Eating disorder
What are eating disorders?
Eating disorders (EDs) are a group of mental disorders characterized by abnormal eating behaviors and distorted thoughts about diet, weight, and body shape. These altered thoughts and behaviors can lead to serious physical problems and affect a person's psychological and social functioning. Genetic, psychological, and sociocultural factors all play a role in their development.
Its treatment is long and complex, but a high percentage of affected people can be cured if it is detected early and specialized treatment is followed.
