Adolescence

Is there any specific treatment for psychosis in children and adolescents?

Intervention programs for psychosis with childhood onset are based on the same conceptual principles as treatments for adults, but with the necessary adaptations derived from the particularity of the childhood stage (growing person, with psychological and biological processes in a maturation phase), and place much more emphasis on prevention, since adequate treatment in the early stages, in the face of the first symptoms, can be key when it comes to improving recovery and prognosis in the medium and long term.
