Certain cognitive skills are likely to be affected in people with psychosis. The areas most affected are attention, learning and memory, critical thinking skills (planning, organization, problem solving, abstract thinking), and social cognition, that is, the cognitive processes that are activated in social situations in order to predict the behavior of others.
