How can I stop feeling guilty after meals?
Therapeutic work is necessary to overcome guilt , an emotion very prevalent in anorexia and bulimia. It's important to remember that this guilt stems from the thoughts associated with the illness, thoughts whose sole purpose is to harm us. We must ignore these thoughts and focus on everything we will gradually regain as we progress: studies, friendships, leisure activities, future plans… A key element in overcoming anorexia and bulimia is re-establishing a life plan and finding motivations such as studying, taking a trip, resuming leisure activities, having children, or caring for a pet. There will be as many motivations as there are people.
