Do minors under guardianship have the same right to confidentiality?

When dealing with a minor under guardianship, the same duties and rights regarding privacy, confidentiality, and information apply. In any ethical conflict concerning confidentiality, the right to privacy of the person being cared for (minor or not) must take precedence, and only the existence of a serious risk to their own safety ( principle of non-maleficence ) or to the safety of others ( principle of justice ) would justify breaching professional secrecy.
