Do all people with ASD have attention problems?

It is estimated that between 30 and 37% of people with autism spectrum disorder have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), although prevalence studies show highly variable data regarding attention problems in people with ASD.

When a person with ASD also has ADHD, they often exhibit significant inattention, difficulties with working memory, and impairments in executive functions and self-control. It's important to note that these symptoms may differ from those seen in individuals with ADHD alone. For example, a person with ASD who also has ADHD might retain their attention to tasks or details that particularly motivate them or are related to their restricted interests.
