Psychosis
Can people with psychosis engage in self-harming behaviors more frequently?
In certain contexts where there is high psychological distress, we can observe an increase in thoughts of death and self-harming behaviors in people with psychosis. These aggressions are often a reflection of the person's great suffering, a way of expressing themselves or asking for help, and an indicator that urgent attention is needed.
