Ask yourself this question: Do you feel good at your job?
It's a difficult question to answer because, what does it mean to feel good? Are we supposed to feel good while performing our jobs? Considering that in Spain the standard workday is eight hours, perhaps we should pay closer attention to the working conditions, which ones put workers' mental health at risk, how both organizations and employees manage mental health problems, and what strategies are needed to improve the situation.
Having a job or a life project is a protective element for mental health, but there are various factors in the workplace that become risks and can negatively affect the emotional well-being of working people.
In this monograph we aim to review the general concept of emotional well-being in the workplace, publicize the rights of workers in relation to their mental health and learn about good practices of organizations that allow progress towards a healthier work organization model.
