Perhaps never as now has it been so important to investigate the emotional state of citizenship. It is especially relevant because this pandemic has many implications when we talk about the impact it has or will have on the mental health of people around the world. In addition, the current pandemic is closely linked to uncertainty and a more than likely social and economic crisis. It has been months since COVID-19 entered our lives and we hardly know what it will mean in terms of its psychological, social and consequential economic costs.

When the crisis broke out, the scientific community was quickly activated to carry out studies in which information is collected during confinement, during de-escalation and in the long term to be able to determine at what level COVID-19 is affecting the well-being of the general population and different vulnerable groups such as health professionals, the elderly, people with chronic diseases, people at risk of social exclusion, etc.

We began to know preliminary results and we wanted to take the pulse of those first data. In turn, it is of special relevance to know which lines of research in mental health are currently being worked on in a transversal way, since without the research it will not be possible to know where to focus, what resources will be needed and what strategies will be They can be implemented to have a health system more robust and prepared for possible future crises.
