"When you train in QualityRights, you start to question many of your practices."
by Natalia Kazah Soneyra
Professionals specializing in mental health care in hospital settings will explain how they are implementing different practices in their services that are aligned with the WHO's QualityRights .
Are you a mental health professional or are you interested in learning more about good practices related to mental health rights?
QualityRights is a World Health Organization (WHO) initiative to improve the quality of support and care provided in social and mental health services, and to promote and guarantee the human rights of people with disabilities (psychosocial, intellectual, or cognitive). This initiative is aligned with international standards in this area and, specifically, with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
In Catalonia, the National Mental Health Pact (Department of the Presidency, Government of Catalonia) is promoting the adoption of this initiative at different levels: encouraging health, social rights, justice, education professionals and citizens to take online training on QualityRights and developing an interdepartmental strategy that guarantees the application of mental health rights in daily practice.
In this digital meeting we will learn about some of the good practices that are being developed in the Catalan hospital setting in relation to the rights to quality in mental health.
