A game that makes room for mental health

For over 10 years, the Rehabilitation Services of Baix Llobregat at the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park have been organizing sporting events. In 2022, they held "Fem joc/lloc en la Salut Mental" (Let's Play/Place in Mental Health), an initiative that builds bridges to reduce stigma and self-perception of stigma in mental health.

Exercise and sport for improved health and well-being

Sport2live develops health, exercise, and sports programs for people with mental health disorders and/or substance abuse and other addictions. Currently, more than 1,000 people train each week in the more than 50 programs they offer in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Castile and León, and Madrid. Sports programs for people with mental health disorders are an effective intervention for improving the health and well-being of this group.

Which sport is best for me?

Physical activity protects us from depression and anxiety, and reduces symptoms when these problems have already appeared. People with mental health issues will also see improvements in their subjective perception of health, motivation, self-control, and autonomy. Why? Not only because of how exercise impacts and modifies our brain, but also because it allows us to enjoy ourselves, socialize, and improve our self-esteem.
