Break the silence

Breaking the silence, understanding and learning about the testimonies of so many children, now adults, is a key mechanism to raise awareness in society about the problem of child sexual abuse suffered by 1 in 5 children according to the World Health Organization.

Explaining their stories, their traumas, and their pain is no easy task due to the secrecy and taboo surrounding this social scourge. The Vicki Bernadet Foundation carries out awareness campaigns every year to bring visibility to the problem and break this silence. Always with impactful campaigns, in 2021 they launched "Cards on the Table ," in which three victims of child sexual abuse shared their stories. These are real testimonies that sometimes come to light after decades of suffering.
