The research and therapeutic team of the Thalassa project, from the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, together with a user of the program, will share the learnings and experience of this initiative.
Are you a person with mental health problems, a family member or someone close to you, do you work with people with mental health problems, or are you interested in learning more about the impact that physical activity can have on well-being?
The benefits of physical activity for emotional well-being and mental health are widely studied. This time, we focus on understanding the benefits and possibilities offered by the aquatic environment, specifically swimming pools, as a space for the recovery of people with mental health problems. We will learn more about the Thalassa project , which studies the benefits that aquagym can have on people with mental health disorders. This initiative is the result of a partnership between the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park, the Fluidra Foundation, the Fluidra company, and the Sant Joan de Déu Social Welfare Foundation, with the support of the Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute.
