Nestor Szerman Bolotner

Psychiatrist graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Complutense University of Madrid, completed his training as a psychiatrist at the San Carlos University of Madrid between 1980-1984. 

Head of the Mental Health Service 'Retiro' at the Gregorio Marañón University Hospital in Madrid. 

Director of the Educational Programm 'Protocols of Intervention in Dual Pathology', of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, accredited for continuing training in Spain. 

Member of the 'Spanish Council of Drug Addictions and Addictions' (2016-2019). 

Founding President of the Spanish Society of Dual Pathology (2005-2016)  

President of the Dual-SEPD Pathology Foundation (2016-...)

Chair at the WPA (World Psychiatry Association) Section on Dual Disorders/Pathology (2011-2017)

Secretary of World Association on Dual Disorders-WADD. (2015-…)

Member of the scientific societies: An international fellow of American Psychiatry Association, Spanish Society of Psychiatry.

Has been chairmen at the International Congress of Dual Pathology in Madrid in 2008, sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse-NIDA of the USA. He is Co-President of the WADD Congress, Madrid, 2017.

He has published dozens of articles in national and international journals.
