Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in childhood, affecting approximately 5% of school-aged children.

It is a complex and heterogeneous disorder, whose main symptoms are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Once diagnosed, usually around six or seven years of age, although the first signs can be detected earlier, treatment must be initiated to improve these symptoms and prevent complications associated with the disorder.
